Summer Working Students
We have an exciting program for this summer and we could squeeze another student in our program. We will ride, train, and compete at Starter and USEA Recognized horse trials from May through August. We'll do many cross country schools and host some speakers about shoeing, conditioning, grooming (yes, we'll go over clipping without those lines!), setting up grids & jumping courses successfully, and a topic of your choice given by you! Yes, some studying is involved. (Do you know how to put in studs and select the ones you want to use?)
We'll also take time to visit Philadelphia and see the Liberty Bell and have a authentic Philly Cheese Steak!
One of our summer students has signed up to take a clinic nearby with Phillip Dutton and we'll visit New Bolton Vet Center for our future veterinarians to be! You've got to try our cookouts by our in ground pool!
So give me a call 610-857-2514 or send me an email, to join in the fun and grab that education! (Show me that coffin canter and then that bounce canter!).
We also have an opening for a full time working student who would work and ride this fall and accompany us to Aiken this winter, 2010! We invite a dedicated student, highly motivated with strong goals to apply! We have some nice horses to ride and compete but definitely welcome your own horse too! Tell me about him!
Click here for more information on our working student program.

Tickle Me showing her winning form placing first at Plantation H.T. April 2009. Ridden by Phillip Dutton. Plantation HT Preliminary Division and placing 2nd at her first OI at Waredaca HT 5/31/09.
Plantation Field HT June 6-7, 2009
Plantation Field HT came in with some heavy rain the week before so we rode in the mud but no rain drops! Rocky and Jane rode a good dressage test to score a 39.5 (the dressage judge didn't love it as I did!), one rail in show jumping and a clean x-c with 2.4 time faults. We placed 6th overall and Rocky jumped so confidently that we entered him Preliminary Training for Bucks County Horse Park at the end of the month. Amanda Csoltko and her Big Bad Tattoo rode a good Junior Open Novice dressage test with a score of 33. Tattoo jumped with one rail in show jumping and a clean x-c to place fourth overall.
Marsha Zebley and Willow rode on Sunday at the Plantation Starter HT in the Training Division. She had a lovely, obedient dressage test to earn a 27.5 from our judge Kim Meier. I rode next on the lovely five yo mare Rumba in the Training and we scored a 30.0 We loved seeing Kim and her good remarks for our test. And we were cheered on course by Sharon Clark, the breeder of both of these talented mares!
Willow jumped the show jump course clean and had one run out in the x-c to place 6th overall. Rumba had two rails in sj with a good clean x-c to place 5th overall. Come watch these horses and riders at our next event at Bucks County Horse Park. We'll look for you!
On Sunday Chantel Cray and Foster scored a 31 in dressage for their Novice Rider Division. Chantel was eager to jump the x-c and she produced a double clear. And she rode a good show jumping to a double clear to place 5th overall and end on her dressage score!
Kaity Taylor and Flash Tone entered their first Novice Division and scored a 36 to place 3rd after dressage. 'Freddy' dropped one rail to add 4 penalties to their score. They had a very rhythmic x-c ride and crossed the finish line with a big smile! They placed 4th and were very happy with their performance. Good luck to Kaity and her talented Tb with her move to her new barn!
UN

UN is working in a double bridle and loving dressage!! She scored a 35.5 at FHI OI on August 9, 2008 and jumped a double clear cross country and show jumping. What a fun ride and onward to FHI CCI*** in October! Come cheer us along!
